Up for sale is a new print of a very charming 1874 poster ad for S.D. Sollers & Co. The poster shows six children—three girls and three boys—shopping for shoes. These children are dressed as little adults in the frills and styles of the day. They stand next to a display of button shoes atop a shoebox. The front of the shoebox reads: S. D. Sollers & Co., Manufactures of Children’s Fine Shoes, Philadelphia.” The skirt around the display reads: “Buy the Celebrated Shoes Sollers & Co.”

A must-have for collectors of early styles of advertising and children’s fashion memorabilia.
