Product Description
The2FunAdGuyz offer a large, new, high quality reproduction print of an 1896 sepia toned lithograph of the celebrated American author, Edgar Allen Poe. This portrait presents a view of Poe as a dignified and somber gentleman of the mid-19th Century. It differs from others that show the melancholy, disheveled and deranged Poe. This print elevates our image of Poe. Here is a man capable of inventing the modern detective fiction format and who became a master practitioner of the short story form. While all of life’s (and love’s) torments are ahead of him, at this moment we see him captured before they ground him down.
Title / Caption: the two line caption at the bottom reads: “Edgar Allan Poe, January 19, 1809 – October 7, 1949.”
