This is a classic sports poster for the turn-of-the-century sports, a time when college sports were a major national entertainment. It was also a time when Lacrosse was just beginning to emerge into a sport that in 100 years is now embraced by over 250,000 enthusiasts. It features a Hopkins lacrosse player with a ball in his crosse or stick, about to send it flying. The player, pictured in an open field, is wearing shorts and a sweater with an H on the front.

Artist: Bristow Adams, who was an artist and a true renaissance man, did this poster. Adams was also a Professor of Agriculture at Cornell in Ithaca, New York. We have several similar posters for sale in our store (see below).
