The2FunAdGuyz offer a magnificent religious print of a 1870s Jewish Mizrach lithograph done by Henry Schile.



A Mizrach is a traditional Jewish artwork hung on the eastern wall of a house for those living in the west. Since prayers are offered facing to Jerusalem, this would remind people of their homeland. This would be a beautiful gift for anyone establishing a new Jewish home. In this work two mighty Lions of Judah hold the Magen David in place. The center of the Magen David contains the Hebrew word for East that is also repeated just below the lower point. The remainder of the Yiddish text is not known though we would love to hear from anyone knowing the translation.

ARTIST: Henry Schile was a German immigrant artist who produced a multitude of Lithographs in the mid-1800s.
