Product Description

The2FunAdGuyz offer a new, high-quality, reproduction print of a vintage 1902 Mascoutah [Illinois] Kennel Club Dog Show poster by famed animal artist, George Ford Morris. This poster would make a beautiful addition to the decor of a family recreation room or a girl's room. Mascoutah, Illinois is a small town not far from St. Louis and founded their kennel club in the late 1800s.

This is a stunning, eye-catching poster. The artwork features a fashionably dressed woman in a long crimson coat at a dog show. In her arms, she carries a Boston Terrier that has a matching crimson coat. In front of her on the leash is a black cocker spaniel that appears a bit chagrined; perhaps because he must walk while the terrier is carried. Behind the woman is a Fox Terrier--facing towards two large Staffordshire Terriers in the background. On the right is a large, St. Bernard. The St. Bernard and Staffordshire Terriers in the background are done as charcoal images. The other three dog illustrations and that of the woman are in color.

Please Note: Morris did this artwork in 1901 for a 1902 show so some breeds and standards for those breeds have significantly changed in the over 100 years since then.
